Connect Echo Agent to Claude Code, Codex or Claude Desktop. They can then search your meetings, read transcripts and look up your wiki. Access is read-only, and your meetings stay on this computer.

Before you start: install Echo Agent (1.1.0 or newer) and open it once. Nothing else to install.

Using Claude Desktop?

        
Install the Echo Agent extension. There is nothing to fill in.

  1. Open the downloaded file (or drag it onto Settings → Extensions in Claude Desktop). Claude Desktop shows the extension.

  3. Start a new chat. Echo Agent appears in the tools menu.

If something goes wrong

        

          
How do I check that it worked?
Claude Code: run claude mcp list in a terminal; echo-agent should show as connected. Codex: codex mcp list only shows that it is registered, so restart Codex and check that the Echo Agent tools appear.

It says the database was not found.
Open Echo Agent once and sign in, then restart Claude Code or Codex (in Claude Desktop, turn the extension off and on). If the message mentions usage: mcp-server.js <db-path>, update Echo Agent to 1.1.0 or newer.

          
I installed Echo Agent somewhere else.

          
Claude Desktop says "Server disconnected".
Echo Agent was not found or has not been opened yet. Move Echo Agent into Applications (Mac), open it once and sign in, then turn the Echo Agent extension off and on under Settings → Extensions. If Echo Agent lives somewhere else, choose its folder in the extension settings.

          
Claude Desktop shows two Echo Agent extensions.
You may have an earlier Echo Agent extension (version 0.1.x). Remove it under Settings → Extensions in Claude Desktop, then install the extension from this page.

          
How do I disconnect?

In Claude Desktop, remove Echo Agent under Settings → Extensions.

          
What can Claude see?
Your Echo meetings, transcripts, notes and wiki on this computer, read-only. Claude cannot change or delete anything in Echo. What Claude reads becomes part of that conversation with Claude or Codex.
